According to the CDC, seasonal flu activity in the United States can begin as early as September and continue as late as May. Throughout this time, CHSN will monitor the incidence of “Influenza-Like Illness” (ILI) seen at student health services. Our weekly Flu blog posts are based on direct reports from participating schools and so will not exactly match the main CHSN data for influenza, which is abstracted monthly from the electronic medical records of participating schools.
