Kami J. Silk is Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate College and a Rosenberg Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Delaware. She previously chaired that department, and before that was senior associate dean for research in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences and a professor in the Department of Communication and AgBioResearch at Michigan State University.
She is a health communication scholar who studies how to communicate effectively to promote positive health outcomes among the lay public; her research has included breast cancer risk reduction, suicide prevention, social norms, and nutrition among adolescent mothers. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia and an M.A. and B.A. from Bloomsburg University.
